About me

My name is Jitse-Jan. I am an Electrical Engineering student at the Technical University of Eindhoven. One of my hobbies is making websites and also this page is a tryout. This site is primarily intended as a portfolio. I like to show people where I'm working on or what I did in the past.

I'm a fan of the old Nintendo consoles and that's why I like to use them in different projects. I created several animations with the old consoles which can be found under animations. My first try to create a webpage was a Flash webpage in a Super Mario 1 style. After spending a lot of time and effort in creating all the necessary sprites and backgrounds I decided it was time for a new website. This time I wanted to create a webpage with the emphasis on programming but also a page which still looks styled without spending hours and hours on all the Mario attributes. My first HTML/CSS/PHP website is of course made in a Super Mario 1 style. Meanwhile I have made a number of websites, including one for Café Eigenwijs. I also have to maintain a number of websites for companies.

Besides websites and consoles another hobby of mine is photography. I make pictures of more then just landscapes, I also like to make photos of things on a smaller scale. Things like insects or consoles, whether or not torn down to pieces (No, not the insects...). All these things can be found on my website. Check the Picasa page for my pictures.
